Cruelty Free Products - Why Does It Matter?

When a brand tests on animals, it's usually because the ingredients or formula carry a level of risk that needs to be "proven safe." Instead of starting with skin-compatible ingredients, some brands rely on testing to determine how much irritation or toxicity is "acceptable."

A consumer-first approach works differently. Cruelty-free brands formulate using ingredients with established human safety data, known skin compatibility and modern testing methods - so animal testing isn't needed in the first place.

Safe by design beats test until safe.

That's why cruelty-free matters - because they care more about the consumer & animals are not harmed in the process.

The Uncomfortable Truth

Animal testing in cosmetics can involve:

• Chemicals dripped into rabbits’ eyes with no pain relief

• Repeated skin exposure until ulcers or burns form

• Forced ingestion to observe organ failure

Cruelty-free isn’t a vibe. It’s a supply-chain decision.

And for reasons like safety, skin/hair health, authenticity & ethics, this is why I choose all cruelty free products.
